Radolfzell is located in southern Germany, a few kilometers from the Swiss border. The city of 30,000 inhabitants is located directly on Germany's largest lake, Lake Constance, in a beautiful vacation landscape.
The town’s history goes back almost 1,200 years. Beginning as a modest settlement, it has developed into a popular tourist destination in the Lake Constance region. Participants integrate quickly here, and can practice their newly acquired language skills with the friendly local residents around town. In addition, our international participants will find many opportunities to test their newly acquired language skills in the lively old town during a conversation in the marketplace or on the beach.
The Lake Constance region is ideal for cycling. Both amateur cyclists and discerning athletes enjoy the local routes. Water lovers enjoy lake activities and avid hikers and mountain climbers enjoy the nearby Alps.
Explore the Black Forest or take a boat ride to neighboring Switzerland or Austria. The popular medieval town of Stein am Rhein is just 20 kilometers away from Radolfzell and the largest waterfall in Europe is just a few kilometers away in Schaffhausen.
